This Understanding takes more time now for you the home owner. Understand that this Learning time is so very Valuable. How much time does it takes to adjust the project after the construction process is happening? Why not just change it after we see it? If a Change Order is desired - We will say there are 3 crews of 3 men crews re-doing work. Figuring 10 hr days @ $30 hr this = $2,700.00 that is earned by you taking time to understand the process. Should we change the above example to Three minor changes? Nine days- now things are going over budget $8,100.00! Now do we eliminate the landscaping? Do we ask the Bank for more credit? For most people this is a lot of money - Do take time to understand and be sure the builder worked with takes time to help you understand. What if the changes desired were not minor?
